Vula is a traveling Yoga teacher. A native Greek but a Londoner-at-heart since most of her growing up took place there, her passion is to discover new places, connect with the locals and identify retreat possibilities worldwide. India is high up on the list (where she whisks off to for long train journeys every so often), with Greece a close second.
Vula has been practicing Iyengar Yoga for over 17 years and teaching about 12. She holds the highest teaching certification in Greece and the Balkans (Junior Intermediate Level 3). She has been a direct student of BKS Iyengar in Pune India, as well as senior pupils of Guruji worldwide.
Vula has a dynamic and flowing teaching style. Her dedication to Guruji’s teachings, as well as her experience in Pune, enable her to assist in a precise and individual manner. Her vibrancy and passion have inspired a variety of students from different backgrounds and age groups to come to Iyengar Yoga and stay.
Vula has a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Computing. Her science background enables her to connect to the more analytical and precision-focused aspect of Iyengar Yoga, which she finds both challenging and meaningful. In Guruji’s words, “When I practice I am a philosopher, when I teach I am a scientist, when I demonstrate I am an artist”.
